RAY NELSON
Pinson, TN: Raymond Aaron Nelson age 82 passed away December 29, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born October 2, 1934 in McNairy County and reared at Sulfer Springs and Ramer, the son of the late Garfield Roston and Lodie Walls Nelson. He went to school at Sulfer Springs and Selmer. He served 3 months in the U.S. Army. He married Frances Frye in 1980. They made their home in the Deanburg Community. He worked as a carpenter most of his working career.

Mr. Nelson is survived by two sons, Steve Nelson and wife Lana of Pinson and Scott Nelson and wife Christina of Pinson; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a sister, Evelyn Hill of Texas City, TX.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Chester County Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday.
