Ray Phillips

Ray (Wormy) Phillipswas born in Crump, Tennessee on January 1, 1931 the son of the late Bishop and Beulah French Phillips.On July 16, 1949 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Faye Gattis, who preceded him in death on September 16, 1998.Mr. Phillips was a welder with PCA for 25 years and a member of the Crump First Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, tractors, and NASCAR. He loved his dogs and his family very much.Mr. Phillips departed this life on September 16, 2010 at the age of 79 years, 8 months, 15 days.He is survived by a daughter, Ann Spencer and husband Glen of Crump, Tennessee; 2 sons, David Phillips and wife Sharon of Lexington, Tennessee, Terry Phillips and wife Jana of Crump, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren, Jeff, Stacy, Matt, Brooke, Brett, Brandy, Tim, and Mike; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Allen Phillips of Crump, Tennessee.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dean Cotner.
