Ray V Stutts

Ray V. Stutts was born June 14, 1939 in Michie, TN, the son of the late E. D. Stutts and Nellie Jane Goff Stutts. He departed this life on March 12, 2023 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 8 Months, 26 Days.

Ray was united in marriage to Sinda Lou McAfee on December 14, 1958. He worked for Brown Shoe Company and started with PCA in 1961, retiring with 44 years of employment. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Michie, Tennessee. Ray was also an active 60 year member of Selmer Masonic Lodge #338, Corinth Valley Scottish Rite 32nd degree, Shriner - Al Chymia Temple, Pickwick Shrine Club, and past Master of Adamsville Lodge.

Mr. Stutts enjoyed golfing, riding Royal Blue Trail in East TN, attending grand daughters ball games, and loved talking to Gennie McAfee and Barry Moore on the phone. One of his greatest passions was spending time with his grandson Griffin. 

Mr. Stutts departed this life on March 12, 2023 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 8 Months, 26 Days.

He is survived by his wife Sinda Stutts of Michie, TN; two daughters, Cathy Stutts Griffin and husband Keith of Michie, TN, Lorrie Stutts Bodiford and husband Richie of Michie, TN; four grandchildren: Ashley Griffin Lambert and husband Jason of Savannah, TN, Lindsay Griffin Bishop and husband Brad of Corinth, MS, Chelsea Bodiford Cavaness and husband Austin of Michie, TN, Claire Hollan of Michie, TN; a great grandson, Griffin Bishop of Corinth, MS; two sisters, Mildred Yates of Jackson, MO, Audine Rickman of Michie, TN; a host of special neices and nephews; and Chris McAfee and Melissa Witt who he called his adopted son and daughter.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stutts was preceded in death by his siblings: Laura Mae Stutts Hill, Joe Stutts, Wilma Stutts Lewis, Bill Stutts, Louise Stutts Jackson, Eva Stutts George, Renestine Stutts Graves.
