Ray Thompson

Ray Thompson, age 77, of Middleton, passed away Thursday evening, January 4, 2018 at his home.

Ray Thompson was born Thursday, February 1, 1940 to the late James Anderson Thompson and Lillian Kee Thompson in McNairy County, TN. He was a sawmill worker and owned Thompson Sawmill. He enjoyed watching old westerns, loved his dogs, and enjoyed shooting pool in his younger days. Ray served in the US Army for four years, and lived all of his life in Middleton, TN.

Ray is survived by his companion, Betty Howell of Middleton; a sister, Beverly Goodman of Whiteville; a brother, James Alfred Thompson of Millington; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Anderson Thompson and Lillian Kee Thompson; and three brothers, Tommy Thompson, Joe Thompson and an infant brother.
