Ray Watson

Ray Watsonwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 6, 1928 the son of the late James Alexander and Linnie Smith Watson.On June 14, 1972 he was united in marriage to Geneva Lois Lambert, who survives.Mr. Watson had worked for Brown Shoe Company for 39 years and was an Assistant Foreman. He was a life long Hardin Countian and was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. He enjoyed squirrel hunting, gardening and working in the yard. He loved being with his grandchildren and family.Mr. Watson departed this life on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the age of 82 years, 6 months, 19 days.In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa Renee Shelley of Savannah, Tennessee; a son, Steve Tidwell of Savannah, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren, Josh Tidwell, Matt Tidwell, Mason Tidwell, Jessica Shelley, Jamie Shelley, and Kenny Watson; 6 great grandchildren, Sydney Beth, Haden, Gracie, Malcom, Amber, and Ashleigh; a brother, Murray Watson of Shelbyville, Tennessee; 2 sisters, Lucille Gattis of Fort Smith, Alabama and Ruth Blasingame of Pensacola, Florida.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Max Ray Watson; 2 sisters, Dorothy Berryhill and Robbie Thomas.
