Mr. Wilson, age 63 of Bolivar, Tennessee, passed from this life on Friday morning, November 10, 2017, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Hardeman County, the son the late Curtis Allen and Shirley Jean Jackson Wilson. He was a 1971 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and lived most all of his life here. On October 21, 1973, he married Janet Sue Wilson, who survives.
A Baptist in belief, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid scuba diver. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and together they enjoyed going on cruises. Ray had most recently worked as a truck driver having his own line, at one time. From 1977-80, he was a City of Bolivar policeman and served Hardeman County as Youth Services Officer from 1980-1988.
He leaves his survivors, his wife, Janet, of Bolivar; a sister-in-law, Virginia Blakely of Bolivar; nephew, Scott (Jodi) Blakely of Jackson; and a great-nephew, J. T. Blakely.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Will J. and Cora Bass Jackson; and paternal grandparents, John Allen "Pete" and Eula Hartley Wilson.
