REBA ESTELLE MICHAEL THOMPSON
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 2, 1925 the daughter of the late James Gilford and Nisha Florence White Michael.
On November 18, 1944 she was united in marriage to Edwin Leroy Thompson, who preceded his wife in death on October 28, 1974.
Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and lived in Savannah, Tennessee until she moved to Florence, Alabama in 2002. She was of the Baptist belief and she enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, attending gospel singings, and quilting for the Heart Fund and her family. Mrs. Thompson was a member of White's Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thompson departed this life on September 7, 2011 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 5 days.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Linda Scott and husband Lynn of Piedmont, South Carolina, Patsy Stricklin and husband Larry of Savannah, Tennessee, Martha Moore of Indianapolis, Indiana and Beverly Robertson and husband Tony of Killen, Alabama
one son, Jeffrey Thompson and wife Becky of Elkhart, Indiana
13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren
one sister, Etta Franks of Mishawaka, Indiana
one brother, George Wesley Michael of Mishawaka, Indiana
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Vinson, grandson, Ronald Gene Lard, granddaughter, Patti Rene Lard, 5 sisters, Mary Cossey, Flora Freshour, Leona Bevis, Geraldine Ray and Hazel Michael and 3 brothers, Clifford, Arthur and James Willard Michael.
