Rebecca Helen Hyatt, age 59 passed away at her home Saturday morning October 7, 2023, in the Deanburg Community of Chester County.
She was born July 25, 1964, in Biloxi, Mississippi the daughter of Sherlean Randolph Wickstrom and the late Bill Wickstrom. She grew up in Ocean Springs, MS and was a 1982 graduate of Ocean Springs High School. She married Gary Hyatt on February 1, 1986, and they lived in Gulfport, MS for a time before moving to South Carolina for Gary’s work. They moved to Jackson, TN in 1988, then to Henderson in 1998. Mr. Hyatt preceded her in passing in November 2021. Becky worked for Piggly Wiggly and Premier Manufacturing in Henderson. She was a die-hard Alabama football fan. She was Baptist in faith. She loved her family and many friends and will be greatly missed as a daughter, mom, sister, and grandma.
She is survived by her mother; Sherlean Wickstrom of Ocean Springs, MS, two daughters; Jodi Romero (Rory) of Deanburg and Danielle Wickstrom of Ocean Springs; four grandchildren Selena Romero, Collen and Carter Bouchillon, Kysen Carter; two brothers Tony and William Wickstrom both of Ocean Springs; and close friends who were like family members Byron Holmes, Ashley and Alex Horton, Felicia and Jason Carle, Hunter, Lane and Braelyn Horton and Elizabeth, McKenzie and Levi Carle.
She was preceded in death by her father, her husband Gary, and a grandson Kyler Carter.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Pastor Mike Crouch officiating. Burial will follow at Deanburg Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, October 14 at Crook Avenue Chapel and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM service time on Sunday.
