Rebecca Kay Newton of Savannah, TN was born July 17, 1957 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Edward Ray and Mary Sue Ferguson English.
Rebecca was a homemaker and previously worked as a counselor and guard for a correctional facility. She was of the Christian faith. Rebecca had a love for animals. Her best friends were her dog Sherlock whom she had for 18 years and Lillie her current dog. Rebecca loved her boys, her grandchildren, and all of her family. She enjoyed talking to people and never met a stranger. She departed this life on October 20, 2018 in Martin, TN at the age of 61 Years, 3 Months, 3 Days.
She is survived by two sons, Darrin Floyd of Savannah, TN, Kevin Floyd of Guys, TN; two grandchildren, Skilar Ann Floyd and Taylor Ann Floyd, both of Savannah, TN; two sisters, Marcella Huggins and husband R. C. Huggins, Jr. of Ramer, TN, Rose Mary Hodges and husband Joe Hodges of Dresden, TN; a brother, Randy English and companion Pam of Dresden, TN; an aunt and uncle, Peggy and Milton Huggins; her granddaughters mother, Sherry Pickinton and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by a brother, Roger English.
