Reubena Johnson

Reubena Johnsonwas born in Lake, Mississippi on August 2, 1929 the daughter of the late Seldon, Sr. and Lena Wood Welch.On October 7, 1950 she was united in marriage to Elbert Wesley Johnson, who preceded her in death on January 31, 2004.Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and involved with meals on wheels. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and loved her grandchildren.Mrs. Johnson departed this life on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the age of 81 years, 1 month, 5 days.Mrs. Johnson is survived by 2 sons, Johnny Johnson and wife Peggy, Dennis Johnson and wife Dwanna all of Counce, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Joey Johnson, Justin Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Jamie Lee Johnson, Baillie Johnson ,and Grant Johnson; 6 great-grandchildren, Weston Williams, Whitney Williams, Chloe Johnson, Ella Johnson, Abby Johnson, and Peyton Porter; a brother, Seldon Welch, Jr. of Counce, Tennessee; 3 sisters, Ilene Rice of Huntsville, Alabama, Irene Locke and Gweneth Tuberville both of Iuka, Mississippi.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Oliver and Tom Welch; 5 sisters, Evelyn Rice, Helen Lane, Arzie Long, Ora Foster, and Ruth Faulkner.
