Rhonda H. Christopher, born on February 19, 1970, in Selmer, TN, embraced life with a beautiful smile and a big heart. A beloved daughter of the late Billy Earl Christopher and Peggy Joyce Box, Rhonda brought joy and love to all around her.
On July 6, 2021, she found joy in her marriage to Dale Pounds, cherishing their time together. Rhonda’s professional life was marked by her dedication as a dental hygienist for a decade and over 20 years as a registered nurse at Hardin Medical Center and as a travel nurse, where she touched many lives with her caring nature.
Her passions extended beyond her career. Rhonda delighted in boating, beach outings, and gardening, often sharing her homegrown bounty with family and friends. An enthusiastic cook, she hosted cherished Sunday dinners with loved ones especially her in-laws. Her spirit was vibrant, evidenced by her marathon running and love for karaoke.
Devoted to her family, she was immensely proud of her two sons, Benji and Bayli Smith, and adored her granddaughter-in-love, Willa Dean Johnson. She carried her precious dog Izzy everywhere, embodying her nurturing spirit.
Rhonda left this world on August 11, 2026, in Adamsville, TN, at 56 years of age. She is survived by her husband Dale Pounds; her sons, Benji and Bayli Smith; her sister, Monica Stricklin; her aunt, Betty Jordan; her in-laws, Bobby and Claytie Ruth Pounds; cousins, Sharon Brummer (Gary), Bill Maness (Rhonda) and Holly Ulmer (Grant); and numerous relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Her legacy of kindness, love, and laughter continues to inspire all who knew her.
