Richard Herman Anderson

Richard Herman Anderson of Waynesboro, TN was born May 18, 1934 in Erie, PA, the son of the late Reed Edward and Mae Vandike Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was married to Gloria Frances LeBoeulf Anderson who preceded him in death December 6, 1995. He departed this life on September 15, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 3 Months, 28 Days and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Waynesboro, TN.

Richards first wife was Jennie Estella Mulvin Anderson, daughter of Robert and Neva Allen Mulven. Richard and Jennie were married June 21, 1953 in Erie, PA. Their first child was born on September 26, 1955, Richard Nalin Anderson of Roanoke, VA. Their second child was born on August 12, 1960. Her name is Gwendolyn Jennifer Anderson Belcher of Conneaut, OH. Gwendolyn has three children, Starr Lynn Belcher, Willie Belcher, and Cassey Belcher, and 2 great grandchildren. Other survivors are a sister, Verma Romesburg and brother, Herbert Anderson both of Erie, PA, four stepsons, Ronald Hoesel of Mayville, NY, Donald Hoesel of Lacawanna, NY, Leon Hoesel of Mayville, NY, James Hoesel of Waynesboro, TN, a stepdaughter, Lorraine DePonceau of Westfield, NY, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, companion, Dolly Johnson of Florence, AL..In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a stepsons, Raymond Hoesel and Eugene Hoesel.

Services will be held on September 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Burial following in the Old Town Cemetery near Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5:00-8:00 PM and Monday from 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
