Richard Alan Barrier

Richard Alan Barrier was born January 16, 1957 in Florence, Alabama the son of Opal Barrier Stewart of Florence and the late Ed Barrier. Mr. Barrier died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at his home at the age of 54 Years, 9 Months, 10 Days. Richard was married to Sharon Ayers November 26, 1993. He was employed as a Direct TV technician and a member of Christian Faith Church.



He is survived by his wife Sharon L. Barrier of Florence, AL;

son, Jeremy (Amber) Barrier of Birmingham, AL;

daughter, Jennifer Barrier (Jeff) Wilson of Oxford, AL,

Sonya Haddock of Waynesboro, TN;

grandchildren, Hannah Haddock, Elizabeth Reeves, Hunter Haddock, Ethan Haddock, Will Barrier, Evan (Bit-Bit) Barrier, future grandson, Easton Wilson;

Mother, Opal (Mommie-O) Barrier Stewart of Florence, AL

three brothers, Donnie (Shelia) Barrier and Jack (Bobbi) Barrier both of Killen, AL, Tennis (Kim) Barrier of St. Florian, AL; sister, Shelby (Lee) Hanback of Hillsboro, AL; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends



Services will be Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Gary Springer officiating. Burial will follow in the Tri Cities Memorial Gardens, Florence, with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2011 from 5:00-9:00 PM and Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.



Pallbearers are Scott Beckham, Ronald Darby, Donald Darby, David Risner, Angel Cruz, Thomas Butler, Brandon Johnson, Damon McMahel, Glenn Davis, Ronnie Risner.
