Richard Norman Landis

Richard Norman Landis of Collinwood, TN was born November 29, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Richard Norman Landis and Elaine Louise George Akins. Mr. Landis was a retired supervisor with Cape Cod ship building in Wareham, MA and was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Florence, Alabama. Mr. Landis departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at his home at the age of 63 Years, 1 Month, 13 Days. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Carter Bledsoe of Collinwood, TN; half-brothers, Dan and Michael Akins; sister, Heidi Fredette of Leominster, MA; half-sister, Barbara Ericson; grandchildren, Taylor and Myles. Services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 12:00 PM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Florence, Alabama, with Father Edward Markley officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery, Florence, Alabama with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Bob Bevis, Aaron Morris, Curtis Linville, Jerry Whitten, David Locker, Gary Williams, Alan Eckl, and Pete Curtis. Visitation will be from 10:30 am to service time at the church.
