Richard Lee "Girt" Miller

Richard Lee "Girt" Miller was born May 18, 1954 in Selmer, TN the son of the late J. L. and Sara Ann Foster Miller.

Richard graduated from Adamsville High School and worked as a robotics engineer for Nissan Corporation, retiring with 20 years of service.  Hunting, building, fishing, and vegetable gardening were among his favorite activities.  Richard was a member of the church of Christ.  

Richard departed this life on May 16, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 11 Months, 28 Days.  He is survived by a daughter, Heather Miller-King and husband Micheal of Savannah, TN; a son, Richard Anthony Miller and wife Lindsey of Bethel Springs, TN; three grandchildren: Keegan Bryar Fields, Gavin King, and Jadyn King, all of Savannah, TN; his former wife, Betty Jane Miller of Adamsville, TN; a niece, Tara Jones of Adamsville, TN; a great-nephew, Hunter Sweat of Adamsville, TN; and many extended family and friends.  

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Jones and Betty Jane Miller, and a brother, Jamie Miller.
