RICHARD MORRISON
Henderson, TN: Richard Sanders Morrison, age 81 passed away August 13, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Chester County, son of the late J.R. and Ethel Davis Morrison. He attended schools in Chester County. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, after service he returned to Henderson. He worked for Guinn Brothers for a short period and farmed. He later operated his own lime business, Morrison Lime for thirty five years. He was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife, Nelta Dickson Morrison of Henderson; a daughter, Regina Ernest of Hickory Valley, TN and a son, Ricky L. Morrison of Henderson; Grandchildren, Dyllan Morrison, Dustin Morrison, Taelor Morrison, Makayla Morrison, Brandon Plunk and Bryan Plunk and three great grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Hooper and husband Donnie of Toone, Judy Patterson and husband Edie of Henderson and Marie Gaddy and husband Ed of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Morrison in 1994.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Randy Mead officiating with burial in Henderson City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel beginning at 9:00 AM Friday until service time at 2:00 PM on Friday.
