Richard Oakley departed this life on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 2 days. He was born in Florence, Alabama on November 15, 1946, the son of the late Ernis and Margaret Demery Oakley. On October 6, 1969, he was united in marriage to Tracyene Pilkinton, who survives.
Richard was self-employed as a farmer, a job he really enjoyed. He especially liked his donkeys.
Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Tracyene Oakley of Savannah, Tennessee; children, John Oakley and his wife Dawn, and Kendra Oakley, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sara Oakley and John W. Oakley; and brother, David Evan "Eb" Oakley of Savannah, Tennessee.
