Richard Edward Shirley

Richard Edward Shirleywas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 12, 1929 the son of the late Jess Harrison and Belle Conaway Shirley.On December 23, 1949 he was united in marriage to Geneva Powell, who preceded him in death on August 12, 1987.Mr. Shirley had been a farmer, worked weekends at H.I.S. at Saltillo, Tennessee and retired as a School Bus Driver for Hardin County Schools. He was a member of the Hinkle Community and the Sardis United Methodist Church.Mr. Shirley is survived by his daughter, Sandra Lowder and husband Dennis of Sardis, Tennessee; son, Rickey Shirley of Sardis, Tennessee and his friend, Pat of Lexington, Tennessee; granddaughter, Jill Lowder Edwards and husband Bo; 2 great grandchildren, Sarah Edwards and Emily Edwards; special friend, Linda Austin of Sardis, Tennessee.
