Obituary

Rickie Ray Morgan was born on March 1, 1948, in Dyersburg, TN, resided in Bethel Springs, TN passed away at home peacefully surrounded by family on February 3, 2026.

Rickie was a United States Marine and Vietnam combat veteran. He carried that identity for life. He was a man shaped by discipline, service, and grit and never softened those edges for anyone. He believed in hard work, straight talk, and standing your ground. As a construction foreman, he led the same way he lived - direct, demanding, and to the point. He had no use for excuses and no patience for nonsense. What you saw was what you got.

He was a tough, stern, and blunt man one-of-a-kind, but he was fiercely loyal to his family. His love did not come in words or sentiment; it showed in responsibility, protection, and presence. He taught perseverance the hard way, resilience through example, and strength by expecting it from those around him.

Rickie was preceded in death by his father, Ray Lee Morgan, and his mother, Nella Mae Morgan.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Morgan; his daughters, Vickie Brewer and Toni Morgan (David Eitleman); grandchildren, Zachary Murchison, Kaitlyn Ealy and husband Walker, Morgan Eitleman; great grandson, Atticus Ealy; sister, Diane Morgan Likes and husband Ricky; two nieces, Brandy Rickman and Chastity Rickman Dillon.

In later years, Rickie turned his life over to God and was baptized, a decision he made with the same seriousness and conviction that marked every part of his life. Rickie Ray Morgan lived as he believed - hard, honest, unwavering and in the end humbled and reflecting quiet strength. He leaves behind a family shaped by his strength and a legacy built on grit, reality, and endurance.
