RICKY KENNEDY

Henderson, TN: Ricky Lee Kennedy age 63, passed away July 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born May 6, 1958 in Dallas, TX, the son of the late Jimmie Lee and Gloria Jean Cupples Kennedy. He grew up in Texas and moved to Scotts Hill, TN as a teenager. He married Regina Bryant on June 2, 1979. They made their home in Henderson. He worked for several years in roadway construction, then at Grinnell and later with the City of Henderson Utility Department as a gas line locater. He retired because of disability in 2009. He was a member of the Jacks Creek Apostolic Church.

He had many hobbies including coin collecting, metal detecting for treasures, hunting, fishing, golf and archery. He loved his family and having them close. He also loved his dog, Lily and Toby.

Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Regina Ann Bryant Kennedy of Henderson; a son, Richard Andrew Kennedy of Henderson; four daughters, Tiffany Saunders and husband Jason of Henderson, Amber Austin and husband Brad of Henderson, Becky Heaton and husband Chris of Henderson and Bethany Young and husband Will of Jacks Creek; eight grandchildren, Hanna Austin, Morgan Heaton, Evan Heaton, Ryleigh Heaton, Ethan Young, McKenzie Young, Karli Young and Emerie Young; two brothers, Kenneth Kennedy of Enville and Jeff Kennedy of Enville and a sister, Carla Moore and husband Junior of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Kennedy and a sister, Judy Kennedy.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 11th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Pastor Brent Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday.
