Rilla Mae Davis

Rilla Mae Pope Davis of Clifton, TN was born October 15, 1930 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Robert Allen and Bessie Davis Pope. She was united in marriage to Edward Davis on May 29, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 29, 2010.
Mrs. Davis was a retired owner/operator of the family store on Beech Creek and atteneded Old Union Church and Beech Creek Full Gospel Church.
Mrs. Davis departed this life on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 9 Months, 10 Days.
She is survived by daughters, Patricia Ann Staggs of Clifton, TN, and Karen Dobson of Green Hill, AL; six grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Michael Edward Davis; a daughter, Janice Faye Fuhrman; a grandchild, Kimberly Reeves; sisters, Dorothy Walker and Flossie Pope.
Services will be Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Charles Hastings and Harold Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, directing. Pallbearers will be Brian Staggs, Jeremy Hobson, Justin Ingrum, Eric Staggs, Steve Staggs, and Leamon Quillen.
