Robbie Jo Holt Nance departed this life on Monday, March 30, 2020, at the age of 86 years, 3 months, and 9 days. She was born in Saltillo, Tennessee on December 21, 1933, the daughter of the late Beatrice Holt. Her mother passed away when she was about about 2 years old and her grandparents Ben and Mary Holt and her aunt Bessie Holt raised her. On December 23, 1957, she was united in marriage to James Harold Nance, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2008.
Robbie Jo was a sewing machine operator for Angelica Manufacturing Company for 25 years and retired from Parris Manufacturing where she worked for 10 years. She was a member of Spirit and Truth Sanctuary. Robbie Jo loved shopping, going to flea markets and yard sales, camping and fishing, collecting antiques, and listening to old records. She was famous in her family for cooking her signature dish...chicken and dressing.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda K. Brown of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Lisa G. Boroughs and Regina Jo Brantley, both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chris Franks, Clint Franks, Brittney Neill, Brandy Petty, Dakota Davis, and Kaylee Nance; and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her mother and her husband, Robbie Jo was preceded in death by her grandparents who helped raise her, Ben and Mary Holt; her aunt who helped raise her, Bessie Holt; and sister, Janette Holt.
