Robert Harlin Cagle

September 5, 1933 — October 1, 2010

Robert Harlin Cagle Sr. was born September 5, 1933 in Stantonville, Tennessee the son of the late Robert Cisco and Mary Lee Cobb Cagle.



He was united in marriage to Daisy Coughran on April 10, 1954.



Mr. Cagle was a graduate of Selmer High School. In 1955, he began a two year term of service in the United States Army as a Surface To Air Missile fire control crewman. He then spent six years in the Army Reserves. Mr. Cagle had been a Mason since March of 1955, and was a member of the Eastern Star. He was a truck driver for 25 years with Signal Delivery Service, and was a member of Teamsters Local 667. While driving, his CB radio handle was "Triple Zero." Mr. Cagle was a historian, and was instrumental in founding the McNairy County Museum, for which he helped collect artifacts. He was also known as an author, having written two books and numerous articles for the Community Shopper in Adamsville.



Mr. Cagle departed this life on October 1, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 26 Days. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Daisy (Coughran) Cagle of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Aleeta Teague and husband Kenny of Ramer, TN; a son, Robert H. (Bobby) Cagle Jr. and wife Shelia of Bethel Springs, TN; seven grandchildren: Justin Cagle, Turner Cagle, Colton Teague, Caleb Teague, Cade Teague, Marlee Taylor, and Macee Taylor; a step-granddaughter, Mikki Cox and husband Chris; 2 step great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Joyner and husband Bobby of Crump, TN; a brother, Donald Cagle and wife Marie of Crump, TN; a son-in-law, Patrick Landreth of Selmer, TN; a sister-in-law, Darlene Cagle of Selmer, TN; a brother-in-law, Louis Nielsen of Salem, MO; a special neice, Kay Davis and husband Jimmy of Benton, LA; and a host of extended family and friends.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Cagle was preceded in death by a daughter, Lawanda Landreth, and a brother, Terry Cagle.
