Robert H. "Bob" Conaway was born on January 04, 1937 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Raymond Robert and Mary Katherine Harrison Conaway.
On June 30, 1956, he was united in marriage to Martha Nell Ratliff Conaway, who survives.
Robert retired in 1997 from Packaging Corporation of America as a millwright. After high school he lived in Atlanta, Georgia and attended school for one year. He returned to Hardin County and worked for the State of Tennessee. He was a member of Morris Chapel Baptist Church and Woodmen Life. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, reading his Bible, teaching Sunday School at Morris Chapel Baptist Church, singing, and woodworking. Robert always tried to help anyone who needed help.
Robert departed this life on October 20, 2024 in McNairy County, Tennessee at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 16 days.
He is survived by his wife of 68 and half years, Martha Conaway of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; sons, Tony Conaway (Kim) of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and Eddy Conaway (Rita) of Jackson, Tennessee; brother, Jim Conaway (Annette) of Jackson, Tennessee; grandchildren, Katie Wilkins (Kane) of Savannah, Tennessee, Brandon Conaway of Memphis, Tennessee, and Olivia Schmidt (John David) of Fulton, Mississippi; and great grandchildren, Everett, Millie, and Willa Wilkins all of Savannah, Tennessee, and Wrenley Ann and Wyatt Hugh Schmidt, both of Fulton, Mississippi.
