Henderson, TN: Robert Earl Flatt age 64 passed away October 13, 2020 at his home.
He was born October 4, 1956 in Masseyville in Chester County, the son of the late Leonard Andrew and Lois Presley Flatt. He attended schools in McNairy County.
Mr. Flatt had done factory work in his earlier years, and married Betty Louise Tidwell on March 15, 1991 and they made their home in Henderson. He worked mostly as a carpenter in home construction. He loved to fish and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Flatt is survived by his wife, Betty Tidwell Flatt of Henderson; three daughters, Tracy Killough (Randy) of Jackson, Christy Gilliam (Jackie) of Henderson and Kim Elway of Henderson and a son, Roy Flatt (Trish) of Harrisburg, IL; ten grandchildren, Jason Taylor, Samantha Mosier (Jacob), Brittany Pruett, Jared Gilliam, Brandon Pruett, Faith Taylor, Landon Taylor, Macie Elway, Hayley Gilliam and Ryan Flatt and three great grandchildren, James Taylor, Jayce Mosier and Chloe Pruett; six brothers, Thomas Flatt, Roy Flatt, Glynn Flatt, Lee Flatt, James Flatt and Johnnie Flatt and four sisters, Maudie Britt, Lillian Hatch, Dee Vandiver and Sue Rowland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Johnson and Audrey Mooney.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 16th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Eugene Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery at Saltillo.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday.
