Robert Terry Franks

Robert Terry Franks of Waynesboro, TN was born September 16, 1948 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late James William "Bill" and Sarah Marie Melson Franks. He was united in marriage to the former Twyla Jean Byrd on August 29, 1970. Mr. Franks was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Franks departed this life on Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 16 Days. He is survived by his wife, Twyla Jean Byrd Franks of Waynesboro, TN; sons, Ryan Franks and wife, Brittnye and Tim Franks and wife, Andrea of Waynesboro, TN and Jeff Franks and wife, Amanda of Fayetteville, TN; grandchildren, Audrey Franks, Allyson Franks, Emma Smith, Will Franks, Casey Franks, Avery Franks and Annsley Franks; brothers, Jimmy Franks, Paul Franks and Sam Franks all of Waynesboro, TN, Grayford Franks of Clifton, TN and Steve Franks of Hohenwald, TN; sisters, Kitty Pulley of Portland, TN, Doris Creecy, Lois Franks, Shelia Alley and Linda Owens all of Waynesboro, TN and Carolyn Adams of Collinwood, TN and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Franks was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Joyce Franks. Services will be Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Kerry Franks and Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Methodist Church Cemetery at Lawrenceburg (Wayne County), Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 11 am to service time all at Green River Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Ryan Franks, Jeff Franks, Tim Franks, Will Franks, Casey Franks, Jon David Byrd, Gaynes Keaton and Isaac Hampton with Jimmy Franks, Steve Franks, Grayford Franks, Paul Franks, Sam Franks and David Byrd serving as honorary pallbearers.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Butterfly Foundation in Waynesboro, TN.
