Robert C. Haley

Robert Clarence Haley of Waynesboro, TN was born February 25, 1937 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late David Clarence and Elsie Dean Pope Haley. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Annetta Roberts on January 21, 1957 and Mrs. Haley preceded him in death on April 8, 2011.

Mr. Haley was a retired supervisor, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, and served in the Missouri National Guard from 1953 to 1959.

Mr. Haley departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 10 Months, 12 Days.

He is survived by sons, Terry Wayne Haley and Bobby Allen Haley and wife, Sherry; daughters, Judith Kay Haley, Sherry Michelle Curtis, Belinda Jo Berry and husband, Warren, and Alice Louise Howard and husband, James all of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Amber Haley, Dawn Davis, Allen Haley, Brandy Berry, Ashli Berry, Haley Curtis, Autum Howard; great-grandchildren, Kayonna Russell, Tyler Russell, Brionna Frazier, Brooklyn Frazier, Kayden Martin, Carolina Martin; a brother, Jerry Haley and wife, Peggy of Waynesboro, TN; a sister, Margaret Merrell and husband, Jim of Troy, IL; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Whitney Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the North Highland Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Allen Haley, Warren Berry, Dennis Price, Jimmy Merrell, David Jones, and Jim Merrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Pope and Thomas Davis.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
