Robert William Hoffman

ROBERT WILLIAM HOFFMANwas born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 6, 1920 the son of Luther Sidney and Willie Rossie Johnston Hoffman Mr. Hoffman was united in marriage to Nancy Elizabeth Morgan, who preceded her husband in death and then he was united in marriage to Helen Lewis, who also preceded him in death.Mr. Hoffman retired as a Colonel from the United States Air Force. He was a Bomber Pilot and worked in the Space Program. Mr. Hoffman was a building contractor licensed to build homes in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He was an avid swimmer and he enjoyed visiting his family.Mr. Hoffman departed this life on November 20, 2009 at the Hardin County Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 14 days.He is survived by 2 daughters, Jodi Hoffman and Barbara Peets, both of Savannah, Tennessee2 sons, Robert William Hoffman, II of Newbury Park, California and William Michael Hoffman of Indialantic, Florida6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildrenMr. Hoffman was also preceded in death by one son, James Hoffman, one grandchild, Barbara Lawson, and 2 sisters, Joan Davis and Polly Cox
