Robert Larry Anderson, affectionally known as Larry, peacefully left this world on July 18, 2026. He was 83 years old.

Larry was born to Duncan and Bera Anderson on November 28, 1942. He spent his childhood in Enville, TN and graduated from Adamsville High School. Larry attended West Tennessee Business College in Jackson where he earned a business degree. With his business degree in hand, Larry moved to Memphis and enjoyed a career in accounting. He worked for Allen & Hoshall, Inc. for many years and eventually retired from the United States Postal Service.

If you ever met Larry, you automatically became friends. He knew everything about his friends and they became his family and vice versa. Wherever Larry worked, he made friends with his co-workers and those friends became like family to him. If you were lucky enough to be one of Larry's friends, it was a cherished lifetime commitment.

Throughout Larry's years, he was very active. He loved traveling to Key West, Fort Lauderdale, and especially New Orleans. He worked tirelessly in his yard and it showed. Larry's yard always looked like a picture from a magazine. He loved going to the movies and eating out. Larry loved cruising in his car, enjoying the many parks in Memphis. He had a passion for Corvettes and Cadillacs. Larry showed his Corvette in many shows and won trophies for his immaculate black Corvette.

Larry met his love, Jess, as she wondered up to his house. Jess is a beautiful gray and white pitbull who had Larry wrapped around her paw. That stray dog became his princess. He loved her fiercely and Jess loved him.

He is survived by his dog, Jess and special friends Suzanne Maher, Kevin Wright, and Charles Buttes.
