Mr. Wilson, age 73, passed away Tuesday, February 28, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. A native and life-long resident of the Uptonville community in Madison County, he was the son of the late Fred and Eddie Mae Noe Wilson. On February 8, 1964, Mr. Wilson was united in marriage to Judy Ann King, who survives him, and they were married 53 years at the time of his death. He had worked at Kilgore and for many years was employed by Owens-Corning Fiberglass. He retired from Hooper's Sawmill.
Mr. Wilson was a very active member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church where he had taught the Young Adults Sunday School Class. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and metal detecting. His favorited pasttime was talking to others about the Bible and his Lord. Loved dearly by his family and friends, Mr. Wilson particularly loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tiffaney Deming (Keith) of Bolivar; two sons, Scott Wilson (Patricia) and Barry Wilson (Kim), both of Uptonville; four sisters, Helen Hoffman of Uptonville, Ann Durfee of Huntsville, AL, Sarah Hooper (Gerald) of Toone and Carolyn Taylor of Jackson; one brother, Roy Wilson (Shirley) of Uptonville; and thirteen grandchildren, Michael Hendrix, Rayn, Myles, Cade, Gracie and Asa Wilson, Anna Davis (Austin), Heather Turner, Eric Worley, Cody Smith, Jakob Burnett, Chris Deming and Brittany Helton; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson Jace and Makenzie Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Wilson.
