Robert Simon Long was born June 26, 1946 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late David Crockett Long and Edith Sherfield Long.
He was united in marriage to Sandra Geneva Joyner on December 3, 1973.
Mr. Long was a member of the Bethel Springs United Pentecostal Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. He had worked for the City of Selmer Utility Department for many years.
He departed this life on July 12, 2013 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 16 Days.
Mr. Long is survived by his wife Sandra Long of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Lisa Long Hollins and husband Martie Miller of Ramer, TN; a stepson, Tony Joyner of Bethel Springs, TN; a sister, Ann Burns and husband Don of Eastview, TN; two grandchildren, Darby Hollins, Kylie Miller; and a nephew, Donnie Burns of Murfreesboro, TN.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Long was preceded in death by a brother, Deon Long.
