Robert Philip (Bobby) Millman departed this life on Monday, November 16, 2015, at the age of 68 years, 3 month, 12 days. He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts the son of the late Leo and Mary Catherine Wallace Millman. On January 20, 1995, he was united in marriage to LaDonna Jane Woodard, who survives.
Bobby as he was known to everyone, lived in Boston until he enlisted in the Army in July of 1968. He served his country honorably until November 1976, earning several medals: National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and Expert Rifle. He served in the Department of Defense Civil Service for 30 years retiring in 2004. He called many places home, such as: Sierra Vista, Arizona, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, McNairy County, Tennessee, and Hardin County, Tennessee.
He enjoyed fishing, history, studying different religions, traveling, being around friends, and genealogy. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Corinth, Mississippi, National Rifle Association, VFW, Lions Club of Selmer, Tennessee, and Disabled American Veterans.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 20 years, LaDonna Woodard Millman of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Gerard Philip Millman of Germany, Catherine Marie Millman Mentzer of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and James Thomas Millman of Burbank, California; 4 grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Millman Heatley of Rockland, Massachusetts and Theresa Millman Miller of Cheshire, Massachusetts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Marie Millman and a brother, Leo John Millman.
