Robert L. Moody, Sr, 74, of Counce, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at his home.



Born February 5, 1935, to the late William Riley and Elizabeth Jackson Moody, he was the owner and operator of North Watkins Wrecker Service in Memphis. Mr. Moody was a native of Alabama, living most of his life in Memphis since 1951 before moving to Tupelo, MS in 1997. He was a Mason at Scottish Rite and in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 serving in the 101st Airborne.



He leaves as his survivors, a son, Robert L. Moody, Jr. of Counce; three stepdaughters, Robbie Heffner of Memphis, Darlene Moser of Richmond, Janice Strange of Conyers, GA; a stepson, William Moody of Memphis; a sister, Mary L. Kennedy of Jasper, AL; and a former wife, Stella Moody.



In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary Moody; and a brother, Sammy Moody.
