Robert Joe Neill

Robert Joe Neill departed this life on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at the age of 89 years, 3 months, and 2 days. He was born in Savannah, Tennessee on May 29, 1930, the son of the late Harve Wesley and Vera Mae Smith Neill. On March 13, 1949, he was united in marriage to Patsy Sutton, who preceded him in death on August 17, 2016.

In his early years, Robert Joe was an electrician. He was a driver for Jones Motor Company for about 25 years, before he retired. Robert Joe was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee.

He is survived by his children, Benny Neill and his wife Gina, Jimmy Neill and his wife Diane, and Patricia Creasy, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Stephanie McAfee and her husband Chris, Robert Neill and his wife Tasha, Christy Watson, Michael Neill and his wife Tabitha, Leigh Ann Duncan and her husband Jason, Timmy Neill, Wesley Neill and his wife Penny, Bridgette Myers and her husband Lee, and Bobby Neill; nineteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert Joe was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Allen Neill; five brothers; and two sisters.
