Robert Riggan

Robert Rigganwas born in Senatobia, Mississippi on October 23, 1921 the son of the late Robert Clarence, Sr. and Hettie Ridings Riggan.On April 27, 1940 he was united in marriage to Nancy Belle Haynes, who preceded him in death on December 27, 2003.Mr. Riggan retired from TVA as a Machinist Foreman. He had served in the US Marine Corps during WWII. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Mason, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star, Shriners, Machinist Union and VFW.Mr. Riggan departed this life on July 7, 2011 at the age of 89 years, 8 months, 14 days. He was buried Midnight Saturday, July 9, 2011, in the Memory Gardens of Hardin County.He is survived by 2 daughters, Ann Hill and husband Michael of Fayetteville, Georgia, Joyce Allen and husband Phil of Memphis, Tennessee; 2 sons, Bob Riggan of Savannah, Tennessee and Sam Riggan of Memphis, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
