Robert Ezell Risner

Robert Ezell Risner, was born November 19, 1924 in Lawrenceburg, TN the son of the late Aurther Walter and Wilmoth Myrtle Casteel Risner.

Mr. Risner departed this life at his home on August 28, 2016 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 9 Months, 9 Days. He was united in marriage to Neva Jane Skelton on February 9, 1946 He was a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro and a member of the Waynesboro American Legion. He was a truck driver for many years, retiring from the PHE Trucking Company in Lawrencburg TN,he also served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to1946. He enjoyed photography, taking pictures of family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Neva Jane (Skelton) Risner of Waynesboro, TN; three grandchildren, Angela Risner Jacobs, Roger Brian Risner and Jackson Allen Risner; six great grandchildren, Robin Jacobs Dickey, Wesley Jacobs, Kyle Risner, Kayla Risner, Brooke Matherly and Seth Risner, several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Risner was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Louie Risner and Timothy Wade Risner; five sisters, Lucille Morris, Blanche Thurman, Jessie Hunt, Iva Delle Thompson and Rachel Thompson; two brothers, Kenneth Risner and Dallas Risner.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens , Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 30, 6:00-8:00 pm and on Wednesday, August 31, 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
