Robert Marion Sparks of Middleton, TN, aged 70 years, departed from this life on August 26, 2025 at Magnolia Regional Hospital leaving behind a legacy built with his own hands.
Born on October 11, 1954 to Walter Clarence Sparks and Velda Russell Sparks. Robert had a love for woodworking, which became his lifelong craft. He proudly owned and operated Sparks Millwork. He built a reputation as a master carpenter who designed and milled custom trim and cabinetry for many of the most luxurious homes in the Mid-South. Known as a true artist, his meticulous eye for detail and dedication to excellence earned him both respect and admiration within his trade.
He spent countless hours in his shop and frequently enjoyed the company of friends and neighbors as he worked. In his earlier years, Robert could often be found on the open road, riding his Harley-Davidson. The thrill of the ride and the wind in his face reflected the way he chose to live—independent, adventurous, and fully embracing life’s simple joys. He will be remembered for his craftsmanship, his laugh, and the way he appreciated the small, meaningful things in life.
Robert is survived by his sister Patricia, three sons, Jeremiah, Daniel, and Luke, six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his companion of 14 years, Teresa Rixie, and many who will miss his talent, humor, and independent spirit.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Walter, mother, Velda, and his brothers and sisters, Tony, Elaine, David, and Jesse.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a charitable contribution in his memory, a toast to a life lived on one’s own terms, or a quiet moment spent appreciating the simple things he cherished.
