Robert Lee "Bob" Wynne

Robert Lee "Bob" Wynne, aged 88, passed away on August 15, 2025, at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar, Tennessee. Born on June 7, 1937, in Whiteville, Tennessee, Bob lived a life characterized by quiet strength.

Bob was a production worker with Owens Corning until the plant’s closure, and also was a farmer.

He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his nieces: Sharon Shea and Kevin of Millington, Cathy Abston and Mike of Whiteville, and Sandra Irwin of England; as well as his nephews: Danny Wynne and Kellie of Whiteville, and David Wynne and Cherie of Middleton and several great nieces and great nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, James Boyd Wynne, his mother, Aliene Kelley Wynne, and his brothers, Jerry Wynne and Tom Wynne.

Visitation for Bob will take place on August 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar, Tennessee, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Whiteville, Tennessee.

Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Whiteville.
