Rodger Dale Michael

Rodger D. Michael formerly of Selmer, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Madisonville, KY at Ridgewood Terrace. Mr. Michael was born in McNairy County, TN on October 27, 1944 to the late Roy T. and Alline Mulder Michael.He was formerly married to Shirley Rogers Michael of Madisonville, formerly of Corinth, MS.Mr. Michael was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Madisonville and was a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Michael raised his family in Madisonville where he operated an automotive repair shop and U-Haul dealership for more than 25 years. He returned to Selmer later in life where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and cared for his mother.He is survived by three sons, Greg Michael and wife Denise of Riverton, IL, Joey Michael and wife Stacy of North Liberty, IA and Steve Michael of Dawson Springs, KY; six grandchildren; a sister, Cheryl Thomas and husband David of Jackson, TN; two brothers, McNeal Michael and wife Judy of Clarksburg, TN, Jerry Michael and wife Carolyn of Tullahoma, TN; several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Mr. Michael was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Michael.
