Roger Byrd

ROGER BYRDwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 31, 1942 the son of the late Harry Carroll and Minnie Jane Counce Byrd.Mr. Byrd worked for 16 to 18 years for BEC Contractors for PCA in Counce, Tennessee. He lived in California for 20 years and in Hardin County area for 18 years. Mr. Byrd was a member of the V.F.W. in California and the American Legion Post 0047. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.Mr. Byrd departed this life on April 20, 2011 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 20 days.Mr. Byrd is survived by 2 sisters, Madlyn Alexander and her husband T. J. and Gloria Williams and her husband Bob, all of Savannah, Tennessee.one brother, Joe Byrd and his wife Cora of Memphis, TennesseeIn addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Pat Harrison Byrd.
