Ron Michael was born February 1, 1941 in Tupelo, MS the son of the late Alfred Russell Michael and Virginia Floyd Michael Starks.
He was united in marriage to Sandra Y. Higgins on March 5, 1990. Mrs. Michael preceded him in death on August 7, 2010.
Mr. Michael was an over the road truck driver. He was a member of the Love and Truth Church in Savannah, Tennessee, a regular visitor at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Burnsville, MS and Element Church in Wentzville, MO.
He loved to be outside whether it was tending to his garden, fishing, or riding his motorcycles. His most favorite and memorable rides were with his kids, "Sons of Ron" established in 1941. His unconditional love for his grandchildren knew no boundary and he had a way of making each one feel as though they were his favorite. He had a craving for ice, especially Sonic ice.
Mr. Michael departed this life on October 4, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 8 Months, 3 Days. He is survived by three daughters, Mary Henderson and husband Kevin of Wentzville, MO, Tess Ganey of St. Charles, MO, Margaret Hahn Morris of St. Peters, MO; three sons, Duke Michael of Winfield, MO, Matt Michael and wife Angie of Winfield, MO, Daniel Michael and wife Tammy of Selmer, TN; two sisters, Doris Rines of Senatobia, MS, Denise Littlejohn of Selmer, TN; two brothers, Freddie Michael of Waterford, MS, and Jay Starks of Memphis, TN; twenty-two grandchildren, Jordan, Corey, Dakota, Lily Jane, Hannah Rose, Emily, Jacob, Cody, Hailey, Jessica, Kevin, Brad, Zeb, Isaiah, Erin, Brian, Mason, Riley, Hannah Elizabeth, Jon, Halinea, and Tessa; six great grandchildren, Haley, Cayden, Kolby, Autumn, Samuel, Mady and two more due in early 2019.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Sue Shirley; a brother, Floyd Michael; a son-in-law, Kevin Ganey; a grandchild, Broady.
