Mr. Ronald Baker, age 66 of Middleton, Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning, July 16, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1949 in Hardeman County, to the late Vernon Herbert Baker and Mary Louise Hodum Baker and lived all of his life here. He married Dolores Cox on December 31, 1980 and worked at Thyssen-Krupp Elevator for 32 years, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and dearly loved his family, his church, his grandchildren and his retirement life. Mr. Baker was a member of Reaves United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Cox Baker of Middleton; four daughters and their husbands, Shannon Baker of Bolivar, Barbara (Smitty) Smith of Green Core Springs, FL, Pam (Randle) Vickers of Middleton, and Kay (Julian) Roser of Middleton; two sons and a daughter in law, Rusty (Amanda) Baker of Middleton and Randy Stewart of Middleton; three sisters and a brother in law , Joyce McKinney of Jackson, Brenda Young of Atoka, TN and Vickie (Tim) Simer of Bolivar; two brothers and a sister in law, Randle Baker of Bolivar and Keith (Tamish) Hodum of Walnut, MS; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, a brother in law, Tom Young and a nephew, Anthony Baker. The family requests memorial donations in Mr. Baker's name be made to the Reaves Church and Cemetery Fund.
