Ronald "Ron" Steven Greene, age 78, passed away at his home in Jackson on Friday evening, February 27, 2026.

Ron was born in Jackson on December 22, 1947 son of the late George Tommy Greene, Sr and the late Doris Jean Jordan Greene.He grew up in Bolivar.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Union University and worked as an accountant for several places during his adult life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Humboldt.

Ron enjoyed macrame, golf and refurbishing items.

Ron was blessed with two wives, two good kids and four step-kids and was proud of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Betty Jean Greene; five sons Kristopher Greene of Paris, TN, Al Brauer (Jamie) of Dayton, OH, Nick Brauer (Tre) of Bells, TN, Lance Brauer (Holly) of Burlison, TN, Christopher Brauer (Renee) of Bradford, TN; a daughter Kimberly Pannell (Anthony) of Middleton, TN; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, a brother Thomas Greene (Cindy) of Whiteville, TN; a sister Kay Sykes (Donnie) of Bolivar.

He was preceded in death by a brother Ted Greene.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday March 10, 2026 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Casey Chapel with burial with Military Honors at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads at 1:30 PM.

The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel on Tuesday, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church, 1636 Hwy 45 W. Bypass, Humboldt, TN 38343.
