Mr. Burkeens passed away Monday evening, August 31, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Savannah, he was the son of the late Lonnie Darrell and Glada Paulette Sisco Burkeens. He had worked in cable system installation and on March 27, 2010 was united in marriage to Deidra Beard, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he leaves sons, Ronnie Scott (Alyssa) Burkeens of Henderson; Chris Beard of Bolivar and Dakota Burkeens of Fort Lee, VA; his sister, Paula McAlpin of Middleton; 3 grandchildren, Ronnie Craig Burkeens, Chris Odle and Bentley Odle; a niece, Ashlee McAlpin; and a nephew, Blake Manley.
