Ronnie Forsythe

Born on April 11, 1950, in Corinth, Mississippi, Ronnie Forsythe was the son of Gayle Carlin Forsythe and the late James Edward Forsythe. 

Ronnie was a talented athlete in his youth, a passionate and competitive baseball and softball player. His enthusiasm for the game led him to coach his son’s baseball team, where he shared the joy of sports and the importance of teamwork with the next generation.

For several years, he worked at General Electric as foreman in the powder coat department. He was a hardworker and made lasting friendships.

Ronnie's love for the great outdoors was unparalleled. He enjoyed the peaceful embrace of nature, dedicating countless hours to fishing and hunting. His competitive spirit was evident even in leisure, as he meticulously kept track of his catches and hunts, relishing each story that accompanied them. His love for the outdoors included his rides through Shiloh National Military Park to admire the deer always making sure to keep count. 

In recent years, he enjoyed his daily trips to visit his Amish neighbors relishing in both conversation and friendship. Ronnie loved his family and treasured every memory made with each one.

On September 26, 2024, Ronnie departed this life in Jackson, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter at the age of 74 years, 5 months, 15 days. He is survived by his mother, Gayle Carlin Forsythe of Lakeland, TN; his son, Justin (BoBo) Forsythe and partner Morgan Johnson of Stantonville, TN; two daughters, Lindsey Miller and husband Anthony of Bethel Springs, TN, Ashton Roberts and husband Darrell of Bethel Springs, TN; four grandchildren: Macie Forsythe and partner Donte Bard, Lexie Forsythe, Klai Robertson, and Kenna Kate Roberts; a great-grandson, Zayden Bard; two brothers, Donnie Forsythe and wife Carolyn of Eastview, TN, and Jim Forsythe of Lakeland, TN; special friend, Bessie Britton and family of McNairy, TN; and a host of extended family and friends. 

In addition to his father, Ronnie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Allie Beth Miller.
