Ross Harold Vickery

Ross Harold Vickery 84, of Iron City, TN was born April 3, 1932 in Wayne, TN the son of the late Leonard and Clora Horton Victory and grandson of the late Hugh and Jo Anna Victory and Lon and Lizzie Horton. Mr. Vickery departed this life on May 16, 2016 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama. He was retired heavy equipment operator at TVA and formerly attended at Piney Grove and White's Creek, however was presently attending at Cromwell Crossroads Church. On October 3, 1989 he was married to Patsy Shands.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Shands Vickery of Iron City, TN, daughters, Patsy Russ and husband Jimmy of Iron City, TN and Teresa Bates and husband the late Allen of Lutts, TN, two grandchildren, Holly Thompson and husband Andy and Cory Bates, a great grandchild, Sadie Beth Thompson, a stepson, Anthony Barkley of Iron City, TN, stepdaughter, Lou Barkley Pettus and husband Michael of Florence, AL, three brothers, Kenneth Victory of Cypress Inn, TN, McAuthor Victory and wife Rose Mary of Dearborn, MI, Cletus Victory and wife Julie of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, a sister, Martha Jo Stults and husband Roger of Cypress Inn, TN, step grandchildren, Whitney Beard and husband Matt, Cara Pettus, Michael Pettus, and Blake Barkley, step great grandchildren, Emory Kate Beard and Ben Thompson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles H., James L., and Larry W. Victory.

Services will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood with Earl Rich and John E. Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery near Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Michael Pettus, Roger Stults, Brad Stults, Chad Stults, John David Sherrill, and Shane Petty. Honorary Pallbearers are Cory Bates and Ray Scott.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Thursday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
