Roy E. Boggs

Roy E. Boggs was born December 6, 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Floyd and Velma Lee Campbell Boggs. On January 31, 1977 he was united in marriage to Janet Maelyn Gupton, who survives.
Roy graduated in 1966 from Treadwell High School in Memphis, Tennessee, before beginning his career as Director of Schedule and Safety for the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA), where he worked until retiring.
He departed this life on Friday January 15, 2016 in Franklin, Tennessee, at the age of 67 years, 1 month, and 9 days.
In addition to his wife nearly 39 years, he is survived by one daughter, Heather Marie Boggs Pinckard of Brentwood, Tennessee, and two grandchildren: Taylor Marie and Matthew Raymond Pinckard.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Boggs, Jr.
