Roy F. Davis

Roy Fay Davis , Waynesboro, TN was born May 5, 1937 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Vernon Davis and Opal Brewer Davis Blasingim. He was united in marriage to Mary Hines Shell on July 16, 1956 and she preceded him in death on September 12, 2016.

Mr. Davis was a retired from the Tennessee Dept of Transportation and had been a business owner with canoe rentals and restaurant. He was a member of the Green River Baptist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Mr. Davis departed this life, September 21, 2018 at Waynesboro Health and Rehab at the age of 81 Years, 4 Months, 16 Days.

He is survived by sons, Timothy Davis, wife, Jyl, Ringgold, GA, Terry L. Davis, wife, Phyllis, Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Brad Davis, Jason Gilliam, Heath Davis and Hannah Coulter; great-grandchildren, Owen Davis and Stratton, Iley and Stricklin Coulter; brothers, Tafford Davis and James Davis, wife, Mary Ruth all of Waynesboro, TN; sisters, Bernice Gerlach, husband, Floyd, Waynesboro, TN, Verna Kelly, husband, Tony and Becky Sharpe all of Columbia, TN; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by brothers, Donnie and Bronson Davis and a sister, Reba Davis.

Services will be Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Kerry Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee. Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 6 to 9 pm and Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 1 pm to service time at the funeral home.
