Roy Edgar Dodd

Mr. Roy Edgar Dodd departed this life on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 11 Months, 26 Days. He was born March 7, 1931 in Lutts, TN the son of the late Elmer Roosevelt Dodd and Vennela Tidwell Dodd.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Rose Howard on November 1, 1954.

Mr. Dodd was a retired welder with National Pool Equipment Company, he was a member of the Hydes Chapel Church of Christ and a veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Rose Howard Dodd, Cypress Inn, TN., sons, Glendon Woodard, wife Sharon, Osceola, IN, Roy Allen Dodd, wife Billie and Randy Dodd all of Waynesboro, TN, Robbie Dodd, Cypress Inn, TN., daughters, Karen Scott, husband Wayne, South Bend, IN, Rosalie Staggs, Zip City, AL., 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, sisters, Ethel Mae Strickland, Collinwood, TN, Betty Bryant, Mishawaka, IN.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Dodd, brothers, Ross ,Donald and Jimmy Dodd, sister, Movline Bridgemon.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Nolan Burns officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Susan Moore Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the services.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 6:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 7, 9:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood
