ROY MAYFIELD
Henderson, TN: Roy Allen Mayfield, age 45, passed away June 2, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born August 14, 1971 in Jackson and raised in Henderson, the son of Judy Vandiver Foster and the late Ricky Thomas Mayfield. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1989. He worked as a mechanic at Mayfield Exxon with his father and later P & M Automotive with his late cousin Darrell Parrish. He loved drag racing and hunting. He was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church.
Roy is survived by his mother, Judy Elaine Vandiver Foster of Huntingdon; a son Nick Mayfield of Jacks Creek; a daughter Shelby Mayfield of Pinson and one granddaughter Emmalynn Mansel and two brothers, Jeff Mayfield of Pensacola, FL and Brandon Mayfield of Huntingdon.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Keith Guinn officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday.
